Terms of Use
Last updated: August 16, 2026
Please read these Terms carefully before using Meza. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Meza.
About Meza
Meza is a social dining and experiences platform operated by Michael Frederic Constantine Crowther (“we”, “us”, or “our”), an individual based in Australia. Meza connects solo travelers, digital nomads, and expats with dining experiences at partner venues, and with Meza Mysteries — real-world investigation experiences — around the world.
These Terms govern your use of the Meza mobile application, website at meza.framer.website, and any related services (collectively, the “Service”).
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Meza. By using the Service, you confirm that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Your Account
To use Meza, you must create an account. You agree to:
Provide accurate and truthful information when registering
Keep your account credentials secure and not share them with others
Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we believe you have violated these Terms.
Using Meza
Meza allows users to discover, join, and host dining tables at partner venues, and to discover, join, and host Meza Mysteries cases and parties. When you join or host a table or a Mysteries party, you agree to:
Show up on time or notify other attendees if you cannot attend
Treat other users and venue staff with respect
Comply with all applicable venue rules and local laws
Not use the platform to harass, intimidate, or harm others
Not create fake accounts, fake tables, or misrepresent yourself
We reserve the right to remove any table, party, or Mysteries case, or suspend any user, who violates these conduct standards.
Meza Originals
Meza Originals are curated dining events hosted at partner venues. Access to Meza Originals may be subject to early access windows depending on your subscription tier. Meza Originals are subject to limited capacity and availability is not guaranteed. We reserve the right to modify, cancel, or reschedule any Meza Original at any time.
Meza Mysteries
Meza Mysteries are real-world investigation experiences that require you to physically travel to real locations and submit photos to progress. You are solely responsible for your own physical safety while participating, including your choice of route, time of day, and awareness of your surroundings. Use good judgment — do not enter private property, restricted areas, or put yourself at risk to complete a clue or side quest.
Meza does not own, operate, or control the real-world locations featured in Mysteries content and makes no guarantee about their safety, accessibility, or condition at any given time. Location and photo verification is used solely to confirm your presence at a location and progress gameplay. See our Privacy Policy for details on how this data is processed.
Venue Relationships
Meza partners with independently owned and operated venues. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or availability of food, drinks, or services provided by partner venues. Your interactions with venues, including any disputes, are between you and the venue directly. Meza acts as an intermediary platform only.
Billing: Subscriptions are charged to your App Store or Play Store account at confirmation of purchase and automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Play Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are provided.
Refunds: All refund requests are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies. Meza does not process refunds directly.
Price changes: We may change subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Continued use of a paid tier after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
Free trials: Where offered, free trials convert to paid subscriptions automatically at the end of the trial period unless cancelled beforehand.
Subscriptions and Payments
Meza offers a free tier and a paid subscription tier, Meza Passport. Passport is billed weekly, monthly, or annually, and is processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store in-app purchase systems.
You are responsible for the content you post. You must not submit content that is:
Defamatory, obscene, offensive, or discriminatory
Misleading or fraudulent
In violation of any third party’s intellectual property or privacy rights
Illegal under Australian law or the laws of your jurisdiction
We may remove any User Content at our discretion without notice.
User Content
You may submit content through Meza including profile photos, table descriptions, ratings, messages, and Meza Mysteries verification photos (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content within the Meza platform and in our marketing materials. Meza Mysteries verification photos are processed to confirm your location and are not retained after verification — see our Privacy Policy for details.
Women’s Only Tables
After attending a table, you may be asked to submit a rating. Ratings must be honest and based on your genuine experience. We reserve the right to remove ratings that we believe are fraudulent, abusive, or in violation of these Terms. Ratings contribute to user profiles and venue metrics within the platform.
Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
Use Meza for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its infrastructure
Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code from the app
Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the platform
Impersonate another user, venue, or member of the Meza team
Use Meza to solicit, advertise, or promote external services without our written consent
Attempt to manipulate ratings, XP, or any gamification elements
Intellectual Property
All content within Meza — including the app design, logo, brand name, Meza Originals branding, Meza Mysteries cases and content, and all associated materials — is owned by us or licensed to us. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to use our intellectual property outside of your normal use of the Service.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Meza is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the reliability, accuracy, availability, or fitness of the Service for any particular purpose.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that tables will be filled, or that venue partners will fulfil their commitments.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Australian Consumer Law and applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Meza, including but not limited to:
Loss of enjoyment, dining experiences, or social interactions
Conduct of other users or venue partners
Technical failures, app downtime, or data loss
Cancellations or no-shows by other attendees
